The N Brown team enjoyed a successful night, taking the top spot in the fashion and beauty category, beating competition from Mediacom, Wavemaker and OMD UK.
This achievement highlights the success of the #wearecurves campaign. N Brown’s Simply Be stepped up from delivering a traditional campaign, and redefined the brand’s marketing with a move to a digital-first approach, speaking directly to their audience.
For many years, Simply Be was a traditional plus-size mail order retailer, but as the plus-size market became more lucrative they faced direct competition from fast-fashion brands who had adapted to meet the change in consumer expectations.
By placing consumers at the heart of their comms and their campaign, Simply Be gave an empowering voice to their consumers, who resonated with the #wearecurves messaging, and in turn, bought into the brand.
Reflecting on shifting cultural attitudes and the power of the brand, the team were able to further establish the empowering voice of the brand and encourage consumers to embrace their shape and celebrate #wearecurves.
