As Group Business Director it’s Liz's responsibility to help clients grow their business with the help of an extraordinary and very capable team.

Liz joined Carat in 2014, but developed her love of the media industry during University in Newcastle through setting up a radio station and becoming Student Brand Manager for the Guardian. Then reality bit and she realised getting paid for doing something she loved could be a good idea, so she packed her bags and headed for the bright lights of  London.

Liz started her career at Starcom Motive in 1999, where she cut her trading teeth on the likes of P&G TV and honed her planning skills on a pretty diverse mix from United Biscuits, Natwest & Nintendo to T-Mobile (One2One as it was then). She left Starcom, backpacked around the world for a year then came back and joined MediaCom where she stayed for the next 10 years in a variety of roles but focusing predominantly on planning and client services. 

Liz says: "I love getting under the skin of client's businesses; each client is unique and working with them to meet their challenges within the ever evolving media landscape makes the job addictive. If I could share one piece of advice it would be to never stop learning, even if that means failing often and asking the “stupid” questions. Work where you’re surrounded by people smarter than you are; if you find you’re often the smartest person in the room, it’s time to move on."
