Pandora and Ancestry have become the first advertisers to use ITV's QR ads format.
ITV AdLabs, the broadcaster's advertising innovation arm, launched QR ads in beta last week and the solution includes QR generation, implementation, tracking and overlay production on ITV Hub and ITV's linear channels.
Dentsu agency Carat negotiated the deal for Pandora's trial of ITV's linear QR Ads solution, while independent agency, the7stars, booked QR Ads on ITV Hub for Ancestry and Iceland.
The embedded QR codes allow viewers to browse, research or buy products by scanning the code in the ad with their smartphone.
