Digital OOH investment comes to the North East
Out of Home remains a consistently high performing channel for shift brand awareness and brand health metrics. A medium which many brands turn to for launches, new product promotion and general awareness. It is also a versatile channel which can also be used for more tactical and directional campaigns.
OOH Media Owners have invested £100m every year for the past 3 years, into digitising their highest footfall sites as well as placing new screens in the ground. As a result there are now over 60,000 digital screens across the country, and last year Digital OOH revenue reached 50% of total OOH revenue in the UK. This is no longer just a London only opportunity; with large and small format screens now available in almost every city across the country – a trend which is only set to continue in 2017, making it a scalable national channel which can sit comfortably at the heart of an integrated ad campaign.
A number of OOH contractors continue to invest in the North East with a number of high impact digital sites in the North East. This demonstrates that media owners see the North East as a good opportunity for advertisers to target potential consumers which has to be a good thing for the region.
