Find out more about our team at Carat Newcastle.
I started my media life as a radio buyer and my journey has taken me through the worlds of TV, Press, PPC and now Client Services.
My role as Director in the Carat client services team is to ensure that they receive holistic media solutions, driven by insight and strategic thinking, as well as a high level of servicing.
Away from the office I’m mainly to be found chasing after my two hyperactive children, as well as enjoying frequent escape moments in my local country pub.
I joined Carat Newcastle in August 2015, returning to the North East after 10 years in London.
My career started at Robson Brown in Newcastle after graduating from Northumbria University and I then decided to move south to progress my career. In my ten years at MediaCom I worked in a number of roles starting in the regional team planning and buying across the agency’s regional business before becoming account director in the retail team, working with some of UK's largest retailers.
Away from work I spend my time running around after my young son and also enjoy keeping fit in more traditional ways too! I’m in to a wide range of music and keep an eye on how badly Leeds United are performing.
A born and bred Geordie lass, I returned to the North East in 2014 after spending 10 years in London working in advertising.
My career started as a Media Sales Rep, selling press and online media space before moving across to the agency side, where I worked as an Account Manager on a range of brands (Cadbury Biscuits, Bacardi, Tiffany and the South African Tourist Board to name a few). My role is to liaise closely with clients and respond to their media briefs by identifying the most efficient channels to meet their communication objectives, ensuring the implementation and effectiveness of their campaigns.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my little girl to the coast for walks. Oh and my party piece is that I can do a pretty good Bart Simpson impression!?
I have 18 years’ experience in the media industry having started my career in London before moving on to Manchester. I also have client side experience working at Co-op Retail.
After relocating to Newcastle in 2005 to work at Robson Brown, I then moved to Mediavest which then became Carat Newcastle in 2010. I have tons of experience in media planning and buying across a wide spectrum of sectors, specialising in retail and education accounts and have a keen eye for detail as well as being known as a tough negotiator!
Outside of work I live with my husband Derek, and we enjoy holidays and trips away. I am a member of a local running club and regularly take part in local road races and cross-country events, including the Great North Run.
I began my career in 1998 as Media Assistant, and have been involved in the Broadcast specialisms ever since.
My current position as head of our broadcast team sees me planning and buying TV, Radio, Cinema and VOD schedules ensuring that all clients receive the best possible campaigns in terms of meeting the brief, value and quality.
Away from my screen, you will find me down the allotment tending to my plants and caring for the many breeds of Bantam chickens preparing them for the various poultry shows I exhibit them at throughout the year.
I joined Carat in 2013, having graduated in 2012 with a degree in Marketing at Newcastle University. In my role as Media Executive in the Client Services team, I work with a number of customers, ensuring the activation and delivery of digital, press, and out of home campaigns, aiming to provide a high level of service.
Outside of work, I enjoy bouldering and indoor climbing, binge-watching the latest box sets on Netflix and going out for a well-deserved pint.
I joined Carat after graduating in 2015 from Northumbria University with a degree in Marketing.
During my sandwich year, where I interned at a commercial radio station, I realised I wanted to pursue a career in the media industry. As a graduate at Carat I support the client services team. I also help manage our digital campaigns; ensuring activity is optimised and meets our client’s objectives.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me with my pug puppy, Cher, enjoying a walk on South Shield’s coastline or spending time with friends over a few drinks.
I joined Carat in January 2017, not long after I graduated from Northumbria University with my Advertising degree.
My role is to support the client services team with client work by collating data for competitor reports, media industry trends, live research and client presentations. I also make sure campaigns are running smoothly.
Outside of work, I often go jogging through the Northern countryside or enjoy a nice glass of prosecco with friends in Newcastle! I love to read, especially fantasy fiction - which feeds my unhealthy obsession with Game of Thrones (Go house Stark!)
Having worked in sales & marketing for nearly 10 years, I joined the team in December 2016.
My role is to drive and develop new business for Carat, whilst building great relationships, raising the profile of the brand and ultimately shouting about all the great work we're doing here in the North East.
When I'm not in the office you can usually find me at a gig or festival feeding my passion for live music. I listen to everything from old greats to such as The Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac through to the likes of Kasabian, Mumford & Sons and London Grammar (sometimes even a bit of Justin Bieber)!
I joined the team in August 2017 as an AV Apprentice shortly after completing my A Levels.
My role is to support Chris and Sarah in providing successful advertising campaigns for clients. When I am not at work I enjoy playing and watching all kinds of sports, from football to golf. I also love travelling and try to visit new places around the world as much as I can.
