Highly Commended at the CIM Awards
An innovative, multi-channel approach in partnership with Mail Advertising impressed the judges at the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards and earned the Halfords team Highly Commended recognition in the Best Partnership category.
“Making staycations the summer’s most inspiring story” was the aim of the campaign with Halfords, in partnership with Mail Advertising. Along with sister agency, The Story Lab, the team developed a multi-channel campaign encouraging families to down screens and get outside.
The campaign centered on showcasing Halfords as the one-stop-shop for all staycation needs. Taking a multi-channel approach, including bespoke editorial with comment from industry experts, and influencer content, the team were able to demonstrate how Halfords can help real families get outdoors.
Built from the belief in the power of brands to create positive social change, this ground-breaking campaign engaged audiences in a story about the value of the staycation. Achieving its target of inspiring families, the campaign encouraged more than 400,000 readers to consider key staycation activities, with 67% of families taking action as a result of the campaign.
The success at the CIM Marketing Excellence awards highlights the teams understanding of their audience, and how best to leverage media relations in order to produce engaging, memorable and actionable campaigns for clients.
