Carat and innov8 help Street Support Network combat homelessness in the city
Carat Manchester is proud to announce it is part of the innov8 team working with one of the region’s leading third sector organisations to deliver a communications strategy aimed at reducing homelessness in the city.
Our innov8 team use their expertise and leverage their relationships with media owners to develop a communications strategy for Street Support Network on a pro-bono basis. This is further to the support already offered by Carat, and teams behind the other brands at Dentsu Aegis Network Manchester, who have been raising money for Street Support since the beginning of the year.
Street Support are a core part of the Manchester Homelessness Partnership, which works with people with lived experience of homelessness and includes over 50 local charities and grassroots groups, public services, businesses and the community. Find out more about Street Support here.
The brief from Street Support was to develop a communications strategy which raises the profile of the organisation amongst the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) community in Greater Manchester. The campaign aims to forge partnerships with companies that pledge time, skills and donations to assist Street Support to reduce homelessness and deliver positive outcomes for the local community.
The strategy created looks to clarify Street Support’s proposition, bolster their materials then expose the brand to an SME audience using PR and paid media.
Dentsu Aegis Network Manchester has further committed to support the organisation on an ongoing basis, with teams providing time to assist with these strands, as well as working with media owners who have shown interest in donating their services free of charge.
Viv Slack, Co-Founder of Street Support Network, has been delighted with the support from Dentsu Aegis Network Manchester:
She said: "We were blown away by the depth of understanding, insight and clarity of the presentation from the innov8 team. Not only was there a well thought out strategy but a plan for delivery.
“We are a very small team with a big vision around making it easier for people experiencing homelessness across Greater Manchester to get help - working with Dentsu Aegis Network we have felt supported and safe. It is a real relief to be in such capable hands."
Elliot Muscant, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network North said: “Dentsu Aegis Network Manchester is part of a global business with a keen focus on local communities. Supporting Street Support allows us to bring the passion and ingenuity of our business to help combat one of the most distressing social issues of our time.”
Over 100 employees of Dentsu Aegis Network, along with friends, family and media owner partners, raised over £9,500 for Street Support by taking part in this year’s Great Manchester Run, Europe's biggest mass participation event which took place in May. The money raised by the team will help fund a GROW Trainee, who has lived the experience of homelessness, for Street Support for a year.
These caring efforts come after Dentsu Aegis Network Manchester raised £35,000 for the Booth Centre in Manchester in 2016.
