Carat Bulgaria is the agency appointed to drive the media strategy of Mtel, Bulgaria’s leading telecom operator in 2015, after a month-long defensive pitch. The agency will remain the media partner of the telecom for a fourth consecutive year.
During the pitch the company was competing with four other international agencies: Mindshare, Universal Media, Media S and OMD. Each of them was nominated for participation based on several key criteria including quality assessment, competitiveness, turnover data and RECMA rating. For the first time in Bulgaria such competition was held with the participation of internationally recognized external audit consultant - Media Path Network.
The competition was conducted in two stages with three agencies admitted to second round where a time task was the selection criteria for a final decision. A complete strategy conducted within three days had to appoint the final winner.
