As CEO of Carat China, Ellen is responsible for driving innovation across the company and our clients. An award winning strategist with over 18 years experience, she will continue to elevate the delivery of convergent communication solutions for Carat’s extensive portfolio of leading Chinese and global advertisers.
In an environment where the boundaries between by creative, digital and media agencies are converging, Ellen’s collaborative approach is invaluable to helping solve clients business problems.
Prior to joining Carat, Ellen was the Group Managing Director of McCann Worldgroup Shanghai and led the development of group strategic architecture, playing a key role in creating a culture of innovation and disruption across Greater China.
As one of the first generation of local planners in Mainland China, Hou has been recognised for setting new standards and was celebrated in 2015 by Advertising Age as one of their ‘Women to Watch’.
Jimmy Kuo has over 16 years of experience in media communications, working with global and local clients in multiple vertical categories across Taipei, Beijing and Shanghai.
Kuo joined Dentsu Aegis Network in 2013 as a business team lead within Carat with a focus on international clients including Pernod Ricard and Microsoft. His strategic approach has helped large traditional clients drive significant growth by transforming their investment approach from an historical TV dependent focus to a diversified and integrated investment model that drove greater business impact.
In 2016, Kuo took over the role of General Manager for Business & Strategy Development at Amplifi, the trading division for Dentsu Aegis Network. In this role he led the strategic development of buying strategies for Dentsu Aegis Network key accounts, ensuring the delivery of maximum value across traditional and digital channels. Kuo was also instrumental in business development for the group, improving integration and work flow through best practices.
Montse is responsible for embedding Carat's redefining media philosophy through her team's active strategic involvement in the development of connected consumer experiences across Carat’s clientele. She leads her team to work closely with Carat's business teams to provide a strategic lead on the impact of current media trends, insights into the consumer journey, and how these influence the way we engage with consumers.
Montse has 15 years of experience in marketing, advertising and brand communication spanning multiple roles and responsibilities including strategic planning, account servicing, business development, market research and data analysis. Majoring in Communication Arts by University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines, she has held senior strategic planning roles at McCann across China and Singapore before joining Carat China in January 2015.
Eric is responsible for developing customized data and technology solutions for clients. With 17 years’ experience in research, media & advertising, Eric demonstrated his capability across multiple areas including ad tech offering, product development, project management, audience measurement, amongst others.
Eric joins Carat from Wunderman where he was Head of Technology. Prior to that, he was Head of Systems for Omnicom Media Group, China. Even earlier, he had worked for ACNielsen, ZenithOptimedia and Madhouse.
Sarah is responsible for championing Carat China’s proposition to external and internal audiences. She is focused on marketing and promoting Carat across China via social, PR, events and prospecting initiatives.
Sarah joined Carat China from the UK where she was Head of New Business for Dentsu Aegis Network brands, Carat, Vizeum and iProspect and has more than 12 years’ experience in media, across agency and media owner backgrounds including Guardian Media Group.
Jane has taken various HR professional roles in HR strategic planning, talent acquisition & retention, reward strategy, organization development etc. for over 20 years in multinational companies across several different industries. She joined Carat in July 2012 and mainly focused on talent development, employee engagement and building high performance culture to address organizational challenges to support business sustainable growth.
Jane lead HR team to work closely with business leaders and achieved better results in terms of organizational effectiveness. Carat University has built the foundation for all employees’ learning & development at Carat since July 2013. ADP (Accelerated Digital Program) was successfully rolled out in 2016 and helped people to enhance digital capability, which supports 100% digital in 2020. Carat Innovation Day provided our employees with better opportunity to understand why & how to be more innovative.
Before joining Carat, Jane held HR management roles in IBM, Diebold & ICI across Greater China Area.
