Carat Adelaide has been awarded the media account for customer-owned bank Beyond Bank, after a competitive pitch process.
Beyond Bank is one of Australia’s largest 100% customer-owned banks, having been established more than 60 years ago. Carat won the pitch against several unnamed agencies.
Beyond Bank provides personal, business and community banking services to more than 260,000 customers across metro and regional NSW, SA, WA, Victoria and the ACT.
General manager of strategy, brand and community, Peter Rutter, said Carat will allow Beyond Bank to “bolster our capacity to engage across our network, in line with our aim to be the best local bank and to create real value-based outcomes for our customers and communities across Australia.”
The bank markets its purpose as having a focus on financial wellbeing for customers, while also supporting sustainable and successful communities.
In 2007 it established the Beyond Bank Foundation, which has contributed more than $25 million to million to various communities through sponsorships, grants, and donations.
Dentu-owned Carat will now handle TV, radio, print, out of home and digital for Beyond Bank, beginning from March 1.
Carat Adelaide managing director, Vikki Friscic, said the agency was honoured to be working with Beyond Bank.
“We see enormous opportunities for Beyond Bank and are privileged to be able to partner with such a collaborative and unified team.”
In 2020, Carat announced it had retained the account for Tip Tip Bakeries, extending an existing 12-year relationship.
That followed the agency winning a three-way pitch for the Pandora account earlier in the year.
