Get Into Media

In the summer of 2014, the Dentsu Aegis Network launched a three-year partnership with the Prince’s Trust with the “Get into Media” programme, providing unemployed young people with the knowledge, skills, experience and most importantly confidence to access opportunities in the advertising and media sector.  Of the twelve participants to take part in the week long, hands-on work experience, Carat were delighted to offer two of them apprenticeships that allows them to work for four days a week in the agency and the fifth studying for a Diploma in Marketing.

Paul Anson, 23, said "Opportunity is something I never had when growing up - I faced a lot of obstacles in life and found it hard to see any if there was a light at the end of it all. I left school at 15 with no career ambitions. I couldn't believe my luck when I found the Prince's Trust “Get into Media” programme, applied, and was accepted. I was assigned to Carat. This was the best bit. I've always been interested in media but didn't know much about how the industry worked. I couldn't have asked for a better buddy (Jessica Lawrence) who is now my line manager. Most of all, I was given the opportunity I've been waiting my whole life for - to work in a company where I am valued for who I am, and where I can learn, and make a career in media. It's changed my life, all thanks to The Prince's Trust and Dentsu Aegis Network."
