Inspiring? We are!

It’s official… our office has been named as one of the North’s most inspiring workplaces by Prolific North!

As one of the 45 shortlisted spaces, we are incredibly proud of our office as it is not just the work of one person, but in fact the work of our whole team. We actively set up a project group for our people to join and project manage, which means the team were involved in each and every stage, so that the finished product is a space that truly represents our team and our ambitions as a company.

With 13,500sq ft. we’re definitely not short of space, nor personality. The décor throughout our space oozes a contemporary industrial style, with lots of natural light, the use of vibrant brand colours with raw materials and textures keeps the space bold, bright and inspiring. We have a variety of break out areas designed for staff and their modern working needs, whether that be for a quiet space to work away from their desk, an informal meeting with colleagues, or even a place to relax.

All of this space means staff aren’t confined to their desks, as we encourage people to get creative with their working methods. In addition, we don’t allow people to eat lunch at their desks (yes, really!), which means everyone must take a break no matter how small and eat their food together in the kitchen and/or roof terrace if the sun is shining. You’ll often find everyone sat around the kitchen table or on the picnic benches on the terrace and it gives a real sense of family and integration.

The branding at 6EP allows staff to feel part of a wider team, a global business, which is inspiring in itself, to know that you are part of a much bigger picture. We also named our meeting rooms after well-known Yorkshire men and women, or those who have contributed to the regions history; Judi Dench, Emily Brontë and David Hockney, to name a few. This in itself is inspiring, as we want our staff to continue this success in Yorkshire.

No wonder we were shortlisted, right? Fingers crossed for the finale!
