It’s that time again folks: the forcing of our fresh-faced interns into smiles for the inevitable introduction snap. As we bid a fond farewell to last year’s batch (the amazing Dumitru, Elle and Matt) we fill their spaces with some more young talent. This year, we’re introducing Claire, Thomas, and Eleanor – welcome to the team!

Claire Whitefield - BA (Hons) Marketing & Advertising Management, Leeds Beckett University

I don’t yet know in which area I would like to specialisewhen I graduate so I am looking forward to taking in as much as possible this year. My last job role was Student Brand Manager for Spotify where I enjoyed managing social media profiles and running campaigns to integrate the brand into fellow student’s day to day life. Currently in my degree I have really enjoyed modules in market research and consumer behaviour.

It is exciting to have a placement with a company like iProspect who really believe in training and development. I can already see the possibilities that are opening up in front of me.

This first month has been challenging and eye opening. There is a great deal to learn and plenty of responsibilities to take on, but the team around me have been very helpful and welcoming.  I am looking forward to working with a range of clients and seeing the day-to-day running of campaigns in varying industries.

Thomas Needham – BA Marketing Management, Northumbria University

After doing my research and speaking to several people about the company, I soon realised that I had found an opportunity not to be missed at an extremely prestigious company in iProspect. I felt a real buzz about the Paid Search area, learning from the best and realised that this would be an exciting path to go down.

My first month here has flown by. It’s been a challenge, but I have learnt so much in a short space of time. I enjoy the wide variety of work with the many different clients, it’s always busy but it’s a highly interesting and rewarding role. Not only that, but there’s always a great atmosphere around the office and everyone is happy to help out.

Outside of work I enjoy keeping active and playing sport. I go running regularly and I’m just about to take part in the Great North Run for Teenage Cancer Trust. Aside from running I enjoy most sports, in particular football. I run a weekly five-a-side team and try go watch Leeds United when I can.

Eleanor Harris - BA (Hons) Marketing & Advertising Management, Leeds Beckett University

Marketing is everywhere; we are exposed to thousands of inspiring and creative pieces of marketing on a daily basis. Studying Marketing and Advertising Management at university has motivated me to pursue a career in the digital marketing industry.

During my second year of study I decided to learn more and do the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing. I find the digital side of marketing particularly interesting because technology is the future, it’s exciting and unlike the more traditional types of marketing, you can measure the success of an online campaign by tracking ROI.

I was keen to experience a year in industry - not only to gain a competitive advantage as a graduate but also to experience life in a leading digital marketing performance agency. Technology is constantly changing and working here at iProspect, you are always ahead of the trend!

My first month has gone incredibly fast, it has definitely been challenging but it pushes you to reach your potential and get involved in the business. Everyone in the office is lovely and always willing to help. So far I have achieved my Google AdWords Fundamentals certification, developed excel skills, created a range of client reports and updated trackers. I am excited to gain more experience and hopefully become a valuable team member.

I love anything adventurous, I am a rock climbing enthusiast and could ski before I could walk, and I have also just joined a weekly netball league with Claire - another intern! I also enjoy reading utopian/dystopian fictionbut my main love is fruity cider and car crash TV!
