Carolyn Odgers

With a background as a journalist, Carolyn has more than 35 years experience in advertising agencies.  Initially on the creative side with Leo Burnett where she was the Board Director on McDonald’s.  After moving to Ireland 20 years ago she moved client-side – spending 5 years in Diageo as the senior Planner on both spirits and sensible drinking.  Missing the agency side Carolyn moved to Chemistry as Strategic Director, a role that encompassed both her strategic and client service skills.  There she worked on brands such as Coors Light, eircom, ICTU and Largo Foods.  After 5 years there she was approached by the Media Agency OMD to join them to be the Business Director running both Renault and the Vodafone accounts, additionally, she was the Business Director on Dublin Bus and Odeon Cinemas.  She also had responsibility for Client Service training.                                                                                           

9 years on Carolyn joined Carat in 2020 to be the Client Partner on Vodafone when the account moved.  Her experience on both the Client and Agency sides gives Carolyn a unique insight into how to make relationships work – ensuring that the agency is a genuine business partner to the client, rather than just a service provider.
