Carat Wins Consolidated Pfizer Consumer Healthcare Planning and Digital Assignment

04/03/2015

On Tuesday, March 3, Carat US was awarded the $125 million consolidated planning and digital assignments from Pfizer's Consumer Healthcare division. The announcement came after a multi-month pitch process. These assignments were previously managed by Assembly, which had the account since 2004. A transition date has been set for May 1.

This win adds to the current traditional media buying assignment that Carat has held since 2010, the year after Pfizer acquired Wyeth for a reported $68 million. Julie DeMaio, who will oversee the account, said, "We're thrilled to expand our assignment with PCH. The opportunities that now exist to truly redefine media and drive their business forward are endless."

Doug Ray:

"I am very pleased to announce that we have been awarded the $125 million consolidated planning and digital assignment from Pfizer's Consumer Healthcare division. This win adds to the current traditional media buying assignment that we have held since 2010, the year after Pfizer acquired Wyeth for a reported $68 million.

I want to especially thank Michael Epstein, Julie DeMaio and Andy Donchin for their exceptional leadership through this multiple-month pitch process; to William Roberts-Foster for his as well as the entire New Business team's support; to the amazing team that developed detailed media plans, pricing scenarios, staffing plans, and responded to numerous (!) rounds of Q&A, including: Meredith Beckerman, Melody Deandrea, Elizabeth Creed, Luigi Camacho, Amy Johnson, Melissa Escobar, Sofia Waldow, Chanelle Flavell, Justine Bloome, Christian Johnson, Vincent Bareges, Christina Mercadante, Tanya Vallaringattu, Nick Jurios, Don Belcastro, Sean Power, Kathleen Brogan, Alana Asch, Sarah Baehr, Jason Levin, Michelle Lynn, Mark Mylan, Chuck Schultz, Nicole Chao, Jen Soch, Adam Luther, Karen Antuzzi, Anthony Bruno, Matthew Metelitz, and Justin Siegel.

Finally, I want to thank the Pfizer Pharma team for the amazing work they do every day. No doubt, the exceptional feedback from that client helped to ensure the Consumer Healthcare client that we would deliver on our pitch promises."

The pitch team on this was another great example our Operating Model at work, with Carat collaborating with Amplifi and AMNET. Congratulations to everyone who helped with the pitch!
